Hmmm. We seem to fail to be 'AMAZING', but nevertheless we are 'awsome' :-)

In your screenrc, put the line
zombie on
righ after your window creation command.

Or, if you want all windows to stay alive, start your screenrc with a defzombie command.

Once a window dies, the text and all remains there, and it costs you one keystroke ('n' in my example) to get the ssh connection going again.

We don't have an option for restarting commands right away, because this may easily create busy-loops or run into timeouts
when e.g. password input is needed.

when I start screen I have it open several programs by default, with lines like

screen -t Harper 0 ssh harper

in my .screenrc

The problem is that if the ssh connection on window 0 dies then window 0 dies and I have to create a new one and name it Harper and start a new ssh connection in it. Also, I can't see the output of the program because its window is gone.

It would be AMAZING if there were an option to screen to run the program again if it dies. Failing that, it'd be awsome if after the program died the window was kept around so I could see what the program said/did.
