Feel free to do so. Grub legacy is missing maintainer atm and ther is no activity on that side.

Another old report.
Any plans to change the docs a bit like reporter suggested?

also the FAQ question:

"10. How to boot Windows (or DOS) from a non-first disk?

Use the command map, to exchange BIOS drives virtually, like this:

grub> map (hd0) (hd1)
grub> map (hd1) (hd0)"

I suggest adding the following text for clarification. I stumbled over this, thinking that since I had 'remapped' the drives, I had to change the rootnoverify line too. See below for my recommended addition to manual and faq:

"One important thing to remember is that it is unnecessary at this point to change the rootnoverify (hd1,0) line to read (hd0,0).. leave it as it is, as if you had not done the map command to begin with."
