Unfortunately if you can't recompile php you will have to use pop3. The support is built into the stock phpgw mail client, but there are other problem with the mail client, anglemail is a lot better.

btw anglemail has been back ported to phpgw, if you want to help test it grab it from cvs:

cd /path/to/phpgroupware
cvs -z6 co email

It will be in stable in about 1 week

Hey Lennert,

Did you compile imap support into your php install? Write a little php script and save it somewhere in you web tree it should just contain:

<?
phpinfo(1);
?>

The will be a line called configuration. It should have some thing like --with-imap in there. If not you will need to re compile php. See http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.openbsd.php for more info.
