Probably was waiting to cleanly detach from the other terminal, which was blocking. Killing the rogue ssh process would probably have solved it.

When my local network goes down, my ssh client (putty) aborts, then the network comes back up.

I try to reconnect to screen, and get the following output:

[ricky@lavender ricky]$ screen-4.0.2/screen -d
[2681.pts-8.lavender detached.]

[ricky@lavender ricky]$ screen-4.0.2/screen -r
There is a screen on:
2681.pts-8.lavender (Attached)
There is no screen to be resumed.
[ricky@lavender ricky]$ screen-4.0.2/screen -d

[ricky@lavender ricky]$ screen-4.0.2/screen -D

I killed the screen -d with Ctrl-C because it was not responding, then eventually screen -D detaches. I think it takes about 10-15 minutes.
