A change has been applied in CVS and should be part of 0.76.

It would be helpful to have verification that this change in fact works when ASPI is used (Windows '98 and XBOX).

Finally one should note that this is only a problem with gcc 4.0; gcc 3.x works fine.

Between release 0.74 and 0.75 the source code to MSWindows/aspi32.c has not changed. Are you claiming that 0.74 compiles fine with cygwin and gcc 4.0.1?

A suggestion is ot move the (FARPOC) cast on these lines from the left-hand side over to the right. Something like

lpGetSupport = (FARPROC) GetProcAddress( hASPI,
"GetASPI32SupportInfo" );

I'll check this out when I get a chance.

Libcdio 0.74 worked fine.
Now I was trying to build the new release with cygwin and gcc 4.0.1. Have a look at the output:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../../lib/driver -I../../include/ -g -O2
-Wall -Wchar-subscripts -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wunused -Wp
ointer-arith -Wwrite-strings -Wnested-externs -Wno-sign-compare -MT aspi32.lo -M
D -MP -MF .deps/aspi32.Tpo -c MSWindows/aspi32.c -o aspi32.o
MSWindows/aspi32.c: In function 'have_aspi':
MSWindows/aspi32.c:166: error: invalid lvalue in assignment
MSWindows/aspi32.c:168: error: invalid lvalue in assignment
make[3]: *** [aspi32.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/d/cdrtools/libcdio-0.75/lib/driver'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/d/cdrtools/libcdio-0.75/lib'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/cygdrive/d/cdrtools/libcdio-0.75'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I'm using 0.74 again, perhaps anybody has an idea how to solve this.
TIA
