This has already been fixed.

Please try the beta of the next release and see if it solves your problem:

If this doesn't help add a note to this bug and I'll reopen it.

When I do "gmake -s -j5" on a 4 x sun4u machine, I get lots of errors because calls to stat() fail. This results in files being regenerated without need.

gmake: stat:59056.article: Interrupted system call

gmake: stat:59058.unlayout: Interrupted system call
