I confirm that on my netbsd install everything works fine too.

I just did the following:

1) completely removing my previous GNUstep installation and
2) Moved the old core and dev-apps dirs to another location
2) Performed completely fresh pull from current CVS of both core and dev-apps.
3) building and installing all of core
4) build and install all of Gorm
5) open Gorm.app

RESULT: Works correctly and as expected.

I can't seem to recreate this on Linux. Please try reinstalling and try again. Attached is a screenshot of Gorm running on Linux after the fresh pull from CVS.

I plan to try this on FreeBSD and NetBSD (when I can get either one of them set up) ASAP, but I really think that this is a build issue. GJC

It was definitely an install issue. I was running the application in place before installing it - not a good idea where there are a number of library dependencies.

In a perfect world with correctly versioned native frameworks and a system-wide framework management environment this would work, I suppose.

My apologies for the spurious bug report, and many thanks for the help!

You need to build and install all libraries. This is occurring, most likely, because you didn't install GormLib or possibly GormCore which contains the category you're talking about in the file NSView+GormExtensions.m.

Please make certain you've installed ("make install" as root from the "dev-apps/Gorm" directory) all of Gorm's libraries and test again. Also, please give me a step by step account of what you were doing. Right now I am assuming:

1) open Gorm.app
2) New application

This works fine for me and others on Linux. I'm assuming it's the install issue cited above.

Running on today's CVS checkout of the GNUstep sources (20050708) on NetBSD/i386 2.0.2, after building everything fresh from the checkout, when I launch Gorm, I get a NSInvalidArgumentException:

NSView(class) does not recognize registerViewResourceDraggingDelegate:

Looking at the code, I see an NSView category that seems to define this method, so it should work.

Rolling back to Gorm CVS source of 20050630, but keeping the rest of the environment running today's CVS checkout, I don't see this error, and Gorm runs fine.
