If the binutils and compiler are installed from the
built RPM, there are no problems. The problem happens
when only the compiler is installed.

The problem was not solved at all.
I've tried again with the sources, followed the steps in the BUILD instructions and now it works fine with the examples.
Thanks for this helpful work in the Web.

$make
m6811-elf-gcc -m68hc11 -mshort -Wall -g -Os -I. -I./../include -DM6811_32K -c -o timer.o timer.c
as: unrecognized option `-m68hc11'
make: *** [timer.o] Error 1

How you can see, I've installed the m68hc11 toolchain from the
redhat 7.0 rpms, but I've used "Alien" to generate .debs before .
Everything has worked fine with the installation but when I tested, I found this error.
Thanks if can help me
