You should try to avoid using ObjC methods in the +load (particularly NSString methods), since classes are not necessarily initialized when the load method is sent. See for instance:

I stumbled accross a NSInternalInconsistencyException when attempting to get a program working under a solaris 8 machine.

I reproduced this error with the attached program (be gentle, it's actually the first objective-c program I've written).

It appears that calling +[NSString stringWithFormat] in a +load method causes the error. I think it may be have something to do with NSZone and NSBundle being used before NSProcessInfo is set up.

I have produced this error on solaris 8 with gcc 3.4.2 / gnustep-base 1.10.3 and on solaris 9 with gcc 3.3.2 / gnustep-base 1.7.1
