This has been fixed in cvs in both HEAD and 16. The fix was also included in the 0.9.16.011 release

Andrew,

This is another mysql4.1+ issue, work around included, can you please take a look at this one?

the "real" bug here is that the app_name field in phpgw_lang is defined as varchar(100). in the phpgw_applications table it\'s a varchar(25) and so this is too much.

i forgot to mention that i am using mysql 4.1.

and i also found a workaround: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=6604.

so this is not really a bug, but you might want to check why this wasn't reported as an error during setup/creating of tables.

cheers, jRave

same for me.

brand new install, using ubuntu hoary .deb package, version 0.9.16.005-1.

running apache 2.0.53 / php 4.3.10

the table is obviously not created during setup phase.

Is this a new install? Which http server are you using? php version? etc, the more info we have the more likely we are to find the cause of the problem.

Phpgw said table "phpgw_lang" is missing when I do the first time installation. Setup pages said I did not install a language but when you click on it and try those three language install options, it causes error. Here is the original error message:
---------------------------
Database error: Invalid SQL: DELETE FROM phpgw_lang where app_name != 'mainscreen' AND app_name != 'loginscreen'
MySQL Error: 1146 (Table 'phpgroupware.phpgw_lang' doesn't exist)

File: E:\Inetpub\wwwroot\phpgroupware\setup\lang.php
Line: 70

-------------------------------

I have delete tables and even delete the whole database serval times but it still announcing this error.
