I think, thats ok.
I forgot, that i can use key-bindings in gnee.
For remote using the key-bindings i have to do some tests, if this will be usable for me.

I think that it works better with gnee iconified to ensure that gnee doesn't interfer with the other applications.

There is yet another to stop gnee while recording. Use the key-bindnings. You can tie F1 to stop recroding (and F2 to pause, and F3 to resume).

Will this (using key-bindings) solve your problem?

Hi,

first i have to say, that the last version of xnee (1.0.8.99) is very well to use. Nice to work with it :-)

One thing in gnee could be better to handle:
While recording and replaying the gnee-dialog is hided.
I think, this could be a problem, because I cant't stop recording or replaying over the dialog.
I have to record x-events until i have recorded the given maximum of data to record or i have to kill the gnee-process to stop recording (replaying).

Shouldn't the dialog be visible every time?
