I didn't get it to crash (with 1.3 or 2.6 on windows).

When I started the new game (whilst analysis was going), I get a prompt "start a new game and discard current one" (or something), hit ok and it seemed to run ok...

Reproduce:

Start an analysis and while it is still running, start a new game. The GUI won't prevent you from doing so. After a few seconds, experience a beautiful core dump.

(Tested with GTK 2.6 build, 1.3 not tested)
