The system was failing to save the new coordinates of the menu when it was dragged off screen. I fixed this in CVS by causing the window dragging code to generate an NSWindowDidMoveNotification at the end of the dragging operation (the NSMenu code sees the notification and updates the saved menu location).

Hi,

I use the old trick of putting menus off-screen and just use the right click when I was to use them. Recent CVS versions of GNUstep make this trick impossible because as soon as I refocus the app the menu appears in the previous visible location.

I know that this trick is not documented, but it is an old habit, so I think that the old behaviour should be retained or, better yet, some option to turn the menu off should be implemented.

Best regards,

Frederico Muñoz
