Sometimes I start playing gnubg under circumstances such that it does not generate sound, (I presume I have something misconfigured with alsa). For example, if some other program is generating sound, like a music player. If that other program then stops generating sound, and gnubg starts, it will crash the next time I pick up the dice. The last text entry in the terminal window is "Alarm clock". For example:
