Compiling file fswatcher.m ...
fswatcher.m: In function `gnustep_base_user_main':
fswatcher.m:650: syntax error before `*'
fswatcher.m:652: `pool' undeclared (first use in this function)

I don't know what CREATE_AUTORELEASE_POOL (pool); does but it seems to me a c99 issue.
I tried moving the macro at the top of the block after other declarations and so made it compile.

Maybe there is a better way by declaring the pool at the beginning ? I'm not fond of this macro.
