The bug is not present in 1.0.7.14, at least in Qt. I close it. Reopen if you think it is still relevant.

I just found out that I lost a few hours work by closing texmacs and thinking
that it would prompt me if I had unsaved data sitting around - unfortunately,
it didn't do that. I just verified that behaviour - opening a document,
altering it somewhere in the middle and quitting it using the
close-window-button will quit it without asking further questions.
