Fixed in r5003. Just avoid to have zero sized X pixmap in x_drawable_rep::image() due to downscaling (take size 1 instead).

This bus is still present in TeXmacs/X11, current svn r5007. The error message on my mac is

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 70068
Current serial number in output stream: 70069

There is no crash in the Qt port. Seems a problem when initializing the X bitmap which should contain the image.

insert image->link-> then picking a gif that is very thin, crashes texmacs with the following message:

TeXmacs] With linked TrueType support
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 26081
Current serial number in output stream: 26082

i'm using the 1.0.4.1 compiled tarballs off the site

if the gif is 5 pixels wide, it seems not to crash.

attached is a thin gif that crashes it
