Corresponding source code
grub-install should be redesigned using a logic similar to util/grub-mkrescue.in. The goal is that:
- grub-install processes and adds boot support for each installed platform in /usr/lib/grub/i386-*, rather than just the platform we're building for.
- The resulting script is the same for all i386-* platforms.
This would make it easy for distributors to ship a GRUB package that installs with support for PC/BIOS, coreboot, Ieee1275, etc without conflict between them.
