Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi Christophe,

First, thanks for your source code :)

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the
GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy
statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any
file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, please include a copy of the plain text version of the
GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file
named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files),
then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the
copyright and license notices. Check
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for
further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn
why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code,
for example, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Plus, you must determine whether your project can run on a Free
Software Java suite (see http://www.gnu.org/software/java/ for more
information).

We recommend you to test your project using GCJ and GNU Classpath, and
ensure that your Java code runs on this Free Software Java suite.

GCJ is the GNU Compiler for Java, part of the GCC (GNU Compiler
Collection).  The Classpath project aims to develop a free and
portable implementation of the Java API (the classes in the 'java'
package).

More information is available at http://gcc.gnu.org/ and
http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/ .

Please provide us with more information about this point.

In my first response I did not list the complete dependencies that are
not compatible with the GNU GPL (shame on me :( ).

Licenses incompatible GNU GPL :

SwingX   ==> Apache license v2.0
JavaMail ==> CDDL
HiveMind ==> Apache license v2.0
Continuum ==> Apache license v2.0

Licenses compatible GNU GPL:

JDIC ==> GNU LGPL
HTMLParser ==> GNU
GPLJMX  ==> license Berkeley
JAB     ==> license Berkeley

So with all these bad news, do you still wish to host your project at
Savannah ??

Concerning your question, " Is there a way to use JavaMail somehow ?"
It is release under a license which is incompatible with the GNU GPL. So, "no" ;).

But you perhaps find some function like JavaMail in the Free Software
Java suite.

Cheers.

Hi!

Thanks for your message. I send you my source code (and binary) for my project
IntegrationControl.

I have removed the source code that is using JavaMail and SwingX... I am a bit
disappointed not including this source code, but that was simply a "plugin".

There is the possibility to add plugins in my project, and I was including
example of plugin, such as a Mail publisher (using JavaMail). Is there a way to
use JavaMail somehow ?

Thank you in advance,

Christophe

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code. Alternatively, you can forward the code to me by email at <tizzef@gmail.com>.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you must include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every  copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.  This is explained in http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.

Note that sending code to our repositories is a release, since the code will then be publicly available through anonymous access.

Unfortunatly the CDDL open license for JavaMail and Apache license v2.0 for SwingX are incompatibles with the GNU GPL. Are JavaMail and SwingX mandatory for your project ??

Cheers

A new project has been registered at Savannah
The project account will remain inactive until a site admin approve or discard the registration.

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

  <https://savannah.nongnu.org/siteadmin/groupedit.php?group_id=8529>

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  IntegrationControl

System Group Name:
-----------------
  lecric

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
  GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
  This project is remote control for Integration Systems, such as CruiseControl and Continuum (Apache).

The remote control consists into:
- A light in the system tray that turns green if the last builds were successfull, red otherwise.
- Command to force project builds

This framework is based on IoC (Inversion of Control), and provides an implementation to connect on a CruiseControl system, and another implementation to connect on a Continuum system. The system can be configured to consider many systems at the same time (one on Windows, another on Linux for instance).

This project is generic enough to support other kind of notifications. An example of 'plugin' is provided with the software, which is called WeatherControl: this plugin checks periodically the weather (works only for France by now, but it is possible to define implementations for other countries), and warns by mail for specific weather conditions (I am kind of WindSurf, so I am warned when the wind exceed 30 kph :-).

I wish to send the source code by mail.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  JavaMail, JAB (JavaActivation), HTMLParser, HiveMind, SwingX, JDIC, Continuum (XML RPC and Model), JMX (remote only)

Other Comments:
---------------
  I wish to send my source code by e mail.
