Hi,

while working on this project during the last month I realized that the name I chose was somewhat misleading.

I've been thinking on whether to begin a new registration procedure because of this.

My appologies for wasting your time.  Should tell you much sooner but I could not make this decision while in the meantime I started  the project from scratch for some reasons related to the use of non-free external software with it.

I should be more responsive for sure. Hopefully I will start a new registration soon.

Regards

Hi, is this project NOW ready for testing or should we close this submission?

Hi,

I am still willing to host the project at Savannah. Lately I had no time to prepare the software in a form, suitable for releasing under the GPL. I am working on this and soon I will update the link I announced in the submission: http://akunev.msslan.net/etrans/index.htm

I am sorry for this delay! And thank you for being that patient.
I will inform you immediately when the package is ready. This should happen in a couple of days.

Regards.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

I checked out the URL you gave (http://akunev.msslan.net/etrans/index.htm), and I assume that this is the code of your project submission. The following corrections are based on this asumption. For the future, please provide a single file for downloading the project (like a tar file), this will allow me to review it quicker and easier.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.

In addition, please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt,
into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

The project account will remain inactive until a site admin approve or discard the registration.

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

  <https://savannah.gnu.org/admin/groupedit.php?group_id=8105>

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  Emacs Natural Language Translation

System Group Name:
-----------------
  etrans

Type:
-----
  Official GNU software

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
The aim of this project is to supply an emacs interface to the console-based bidirectional Bulgarian-English dictionary 'cbedic' and other useful utilities for Emacs to be used by a Bulgarian speaking user. CBEDIC is part of the KBE project that was hosted at sourceforge, but it is no longer supported in favour of the http://bgoffice.sourceforge.net/ project. CBEDIC is a simple C++ console application that accesses a file database with '\0' separated records.
The database is completely free software.  Eventually I would like to rewrite the C++ app and convert the database to some other more useful format.  Currently the Emacs interface works fine and any word in an Emacs buffer could be translated (either inline or in a popup buffer with hilighting) by a single keyboard binding within Emacs.
A transliteration emacs package based on `quail' is also included so that latin transliteration of cyrillic could easily be presented in a native charset. All this is aimed at a sane Bulgarian working environment within Emacs. Other languages would be supported in the future.
Detailed information at: http://akunev.msslan.net/etrans/index.htm

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  CBEDIC - Console Bulgarian-English Dictionary
and
Database, hosted at
http://bgoffice.sourceforge.net/
or
http://kbedic.sourceforge.net/ (not supported anymore)
