Hello,

I see that you removed yourself from the "emips" project. Did you mean to remove the project, as it is empty?

Regards.

Sorry for jumping into this conversation, but what about the mips64emul or gxemul (it has changed it's name) which has the same goals, almost finished. However, it has a BSD license.

Hi,

I have approved your project for inclusion in Savannah.

We will be reviewing the cvs code in a month to check if the
source files contain appropriate copyright notice and
permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of
source code. Our review would help catch potential legal issues
early.

You should get an automated email with more information shortly.

Regards,

It's a MIPS processors emulator for x86 based
Firstly, the playstation 1 processor will be emulated
and then an extension to other MIPS processors will be
planned.
I'm very sorry  but I'm currently don't have any code
to provide because I've only made some tests and I'm
in an intensive documentation phasis mainly on the
processors.

Precision : the goal of the project is not to create a playstation emulator, it's only useful for me to begin the
project with because it's a MIPS without the FPU unit,
so it's a little bit easier at the beginning.

For OSes support, gnu/linux est the first of them and maybe
windows and/or *BSD in a second time.

the licensing of the project is the GPLv2or later et no
binary only images is planned to be put in the repository.
That's all. :)

Hello,

I'm sorry, I kjnow the difference between linux and gnu/linux
but thanks for the link anyway :)

This is a mistake, I would write maybe windows or *BSD
but I was talking about linux with friend in the same time
:)

About the bios.bin, indeed no, the emlator won't require
any binary-only bios image in order to work, it was only
an example because I've started this project with the psx
emulation as a goal it is no longer the case as I explained
in the description.
I know the goal of savannah and that's why I submitted
the project here.

The final goal is to run any MIPS based OS with the
emulator.

Hi,

I am evaluating the project your submitted at Savannah.

Please send again the project description in this tracker, in english - this is the only language understood by the whole Savannah team.

I nevertheless read your project description and I have a few questions:

> Regarding supported OSes, gnu/linux is the first of them, maybe linux or *BSDs, in a second time though.

What is, for you, the difference between GNU/Linux and Linux?

Maybe you'll want to check http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html

> No bios.bin will be placed in the CVS, only the GPL'd code.

Does your emulator requires any binary-only BIOS image or any other non-free software?

Savannah is willing to provide resources and time to developers writing Free Software that can be used without the need to ask permission from proprietary software vendor.

Regards.

Description:
------------

voila.
