Done. Please understand that we cannot have non-GNU projects which have the GNU bit in the title, so it is better to have formal approval before you resubmit. Thanks!

Hi.  Ok then remove the project request and I'll re-apply once the DNS entries in gnu.org have been added.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within two weeks I still do not get a reply, I will remove
your project.  You will still be able to register it again once
you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not,
please tell us--we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi Simon,

No problem on my part. Is it supposed to be a GNU project? Otherwise we cannot use the "GNU" in the name. If it is, has it been approved by the FSF yet?

Thanks, Alex.

Hi!  Sorry for slow response.  I am still waiting for the gnu.org DNS entries to be added so I can finish my rewrite of the code.  I still want the project on savannah.

Alternatively, just create the project empty, and I'll be sure to never upload any files without clear license?

If it creates problems to have the project request in the queue, please just remove it and I'll re-apply later when things are ready.

/Simon

Hi,

Sorry for delay.

Are you still planning to use Savannah?  If not, please tell
us--this will make us gain some time to review other projects.

Sorry for slow response, I've been busy with other work -- I plan to update the package code to have clear licensing, but it may also be simpler to just rewrite it all for the new .gnu.org infrastructure.  I haven't had time to followup on that yet..

Hi Simon,

As all projects submitted to Savannah you're going to get a little standard bashing before it is approved ---

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball (or gitweb) of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface by following the link below. Do not reply directly; the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

Registration Administration

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group Administration page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

Registration Details

  • Name: GNU Quality Assurance
  • System Name:  gnu-qa
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v3 or later

Description:

Meta-project to provide Quality Assurance of GNU projects.  Ideas include automatically building snapshots from version controlled sources, building the snapshot on many different platforms and compiling the log into readable web pages, providing code coverage reports, providing cyclomatic code complexity reports, and more.

Other Software Required:

Shell script and perl

Other Comments:

This is a meta-project so it doesn't really have any tarball release goals.
