The changelog for the new version is as below:

Changelog for MyBKP version 1.1

10 Jun 2009: version 1.1

  • Modified the INSTALL script, so that environment-specific variables can be interactively specified into the tool during installation itself, without the need of seperately modifying it later. If any changes are desired, the INSTALL script can be executed again.

  • The option of scheduling automatic Cold backups of table was not working. Corrected that.

  • The option of scheduling dump backup of a particular table, or database, was not working properly. Corrected that.

  • Added the feature of storing of binlog file name during backups, so as to aid in recovery operations.

  • Added new feature of viewing the list of binlog backups, along with the range of binlogs that each backup contains. This would help in case of recovery operations.

  • Created indexes on the table backup_information (which serves as internal catalog) so as to optimize performance.

  • Resolved minor syntax errors inside code file.
  • Added few points inside README file.

Hello

I have made the requested changes, and have also done some fixes and improvements in the tool. I have created a new version of the tool.

I am attaching the new version of the tool here.

Could you please let me know if it is ok, or should the tool be uploaded at another location.

Thanks

Hello,

I reviewed the submission and didn't found much to complain except for the code file. The Savannah team objects to the name "Linux" when talking about the complete operating system, for reasons elaborated here:
http://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-linux-faq.html

If you are willing to change it, Savannah can host your project.
