Sorry we lost you.  Happy hacking.

I'm sorry, but I need to get this project started, and I don't want to wait any longer.  Therefore, I will be using sourceforge.net instead.  Because of this, there is no need to make RatBZEdit a project on this website.

We are here, we just have a huge backlog and a dearth of volunteers to review them.  Sorry about that.  We can try to look at yours as soon as possible, but I can't promise for sure.  If you need to go elsewhere, we understand, though we're sorry to lose you.  Best,
karl

It has been two weeks since I submitted this project, and I am starting to wonder if anybody has even seen this project.  Please at least respond to this.  If nobody does respond in a week, I will probably have to use a different website.

Description:

RatBZEdit is a map editor for BZFlag (http://www.bzflag.org/).  It is entirely written in the Python programming language, so there is no need to compile any source code to run it.  It runs on GNU/Linux, and probably Windows and Mac (I test it only on GNU/Linux).  The GUI uses the wxPython toolkit, and will use PyOpenGL to display the map in 3d.  Textures are optional, and will be disabled by default (for slow computers).  If they are enabled, the map will look much like it does in BZFlag itself.  Objects will be moved by selecting "move" mode and dragging with the mouse cursor, and will be locked to various axes which can be changed from the tool bar.  Objects will be rotated by selecting "rotate" mode and dragging with the mouse cursor.  Objects will be resized similarly to moving, except "resize" mode must be selected.  All these modes will be selectable using the tool bar.  The properties of an object will also be changeable in a dialog window by double-clicking the object.  The BZFlag server will be started via a menu item.

Other Software Required:

wxPython + wxWidgets License + http://www.wxpython.org/
PyOpenGL + OpenGL-ctypes License + http://pyopengl.sf.net/
