Hi,

I've approved your project--welcome on board! :-)

You'll receive a mail with further instructions shortly.

You might want to use GNU FDL for documentation files.

That would be OK.
I wish there were a developer team, but at this point the project is very small :)

Hi,

As I can see you only use SourceForge to host released packages for download.  If it is the case and your intent I think you can host the project on Savannah too.

However, you'll need to use Savannah bug tracker, mailing list and Savannah source code repository (if a developer team will spring up).

I think I have better chances that people will find my project if I host it on sourceforge.
Although I don't see why I cannot host it on both sites. I did not plan to advertise one site on the other and I do the development alone on my PC anyway.

But still, this is your policy, your choice and there are no hard feelings on my side if you reject me.

Best Regards,
Gergely

Oh, sorry but we don't allow Savannah to be a plain download mirror for the projects.

Are you willing to move the real development to Savannah when approved?

Well yes...
I mean it's already posted on sourceforge but this way maybe more people will find it.
I'm currently writing a GUI and it's almost ready but I still need a few weeks so take your time.

Hi,

Sorry for delay.

Are you still planning to use Savannah?  If not, please tell us--this will make us gain some time to review other projects.

Registration Details

  • Name: MPlayer Tools
  • System Name:  mplayer-tools
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

MPlayer Tools is a collection of command line utilities for MPlayer users.
Goals of the project:
1) save the files (and the position in the files) you are watching
2) configure mplayer to suit your need automatically (using rules defined in the config file) or with minimal typing (using modes defined in the config file - similar to the mplayer config file profiles but can be a lot more complex)
3) generate statistics about the movies you watched and the movies you have
4) ease the use of your TV tuner. You can record easily, there also is a timeshift script. If you have a memory filesystem and lots of memory, you don't need to stress your HDD while timeshifting

Other Software Required:

MPlayer - GPLv2 - www.mplayerhq.hu
Perl - GPL or Artistic License - www.perl.org

Other Comments:

MPlayer Tools also has some uncommon perl module dependencies but they are optional so no worries if you don't want to install them.
