Hello,

Thank you so much for evaluating the package.
I am sorry it took long to reply you.

1.

>How do you plan to use your Savannah account?

I really thought hard about this but for now I decided to keep
Sourceforge account.
You can close this account.
I was really soorry I completely did not know about the fact,
and that was my fault. I apologize for the time loss.

2.

>you should include copyright notices for the xine/mplayer/other

I did this. Thank you very much for your advice.
I appreciate it.

Thank you again for the evaluation, and sorry again for the time loss.
I will come up with new one in the future.

Best Regards,
Jun Oyama

Hi,

Firstly, I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back to you.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah. While doing so I have noticed a few problems which are described below.

Savannah is a central point for development, distribution and
maintenance of GNU Software.

There is a companion site savannah.nongnu.org where we also host Free
Software projects that are not part of the GNU Project, but run on
free platforms.

However, we do not allow to host your project on Savannah and
SourceForge at the same time, if Savannah is just a project mirror.
Your project development should happen primarily on Savannah.

How do you plan to use your Savannah account?

Secondly, you should include copyright notices for the xine/mplayer/other projects that you've taken code from, in the appropriate files.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

Description:

msdl is a media stream downloader.

msdl aims to help you download and save media streaming files,
through various streaming protocols, such as mms, mmsh,
wms-rtsp, real-rtsp, ftp, and http.

In other words, msdl is a multi protocol downloader for
mms://,rtsp://,http://,ftp:// urls.

Similar things can be done by using media player programs, such as
xine, mplayer, but msdl tries to be useful by having features specialized in downloading.

Supports resuming (continue) in some protocols,
auto-retry failed downloads, speed and download range control,
recursive downloads for metafiles (e.g. .asx .ram etc..).

msdl has command line interface, and written in C.
It does not depend on external network protocol libraries.
