Thank you, approving (in the notice for PKG-INFO, I'd recommend at least explicitly specifying that it's GPLv2 or (at your option) later) --- ideally, the full canonical notice would be reproduced.

Hello,

LICENSE file have been removed.

A notice has been added into the "Licence" section of the README concerning PKG-INFO generated file.

Let me know if it's ok...

New tarball 0.3.4 uploaded with this comment.

Ok, I will remove the LICENSE file if it is not official.

And, for the PKG-INFO file I will add a mention into the READMEā€¦

Thks.

It has no valid copyright notice (and probably license notice as well): it reproduces the notice of the original GPLv2, but it doesn't mention the copyright holder of the translation (the FSF doesn't make translations of its licenses, so it can't be the copyright holder).

If you can't put the notices in the file itself, you should put them in a README file in the same directory.

Hi,

I will add and send you a revised version of the tarball this evening with a COPYING file for the GFDL 1.2 under the doc/ directory (neer doc/npi.fr.rest).

Concerning the MANIFEST, I have tested and there is no problem to add the notices.  But, for PKG-INFO, the file is auto-generated by Python setuptools while generating the package distribution!

The LICENSE file is the french version of the GPLv2, is not ok ?

Thank you, I think pynpi is acceptable.

LICENSE still has no valid copyright and license notices; doc/npi.fr.rest claims it's GFDL1.2+, but no FDL text is provided with the package; also, what's the problem with adding the notices to MANIFEST and PKG-INFO?

Hi,

I have updated all my files to comply with your requirements, I hope to have forgotten nothing:) (cf. npi-0.3.4.tar.gz).

The file tools/npibot.py has been corrected to GPLv2.

But, concerning MANIFEST (that only list files to distribute/package) and PKG-INFO (that contains only metadata but includes a license tag) has been kept as is.  It's okey for you?

What do you think of 'pynpi' for short-name?

Oh, and we try to avoid registering new projects with very short non-descriptive system names; could you suggest a longer one?

These files have no valid license and copyright notices:
INSTALL PKG-INFO doc/npi.fr.rest NEWS LICENSE LISEZMOI
setup.py ChangeLog README.

tools/npibot.py says it's GPLv3+, but COPYING is the GPLv2.

Could you fix that?

Also, some source files provide an outdated postal address
of the FSF; I recommend using an URL like
GPL HowTo suggests.
