Hello,

Thank you for submitting a new project to host on GNU Savannah.

project hosted on savannah must comply with the hosting requirements:
http://savannah.gnu.org/register/requirements.php
http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/HowToGetYourProjectApprovedQuickly

Project hosted on savannah must be compatible with GPLv3 and all future versions of GPL by explicitly mentioning "GPL (2/3) or later".
Projects which require "GPLv2 only" can not be hosted on Savannah.
Please ensure all the dependencies (e.g. Uronode, AxFaxMail,Direwolf) are not limited to GPLv2 only.

Please do not include source code of other modules (e.g. HALUronode inside HAL). If these are all one project, them please arrange it accordingly (with copyright statement and license notices).
If these are separate libraries, please do not include them in the source code (you are welcomed to submit new savannah projects for these libraries).

Please ensure all files have a copyright statement and license notice.
It is missing in some files (e.g. ./bin/qra.sh, l_config.sh).
For non-source code files (e.g. *.hal) - if you can not embed a copyright and license information in the files, please add a README file with explicit information about the files.

Several files mention "Linux".
Linux is a Kernel, not a whole operating system. Please update the files and use the correct term GNU/Linux if the context is operating system and not Kernel-specific topic.
See http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html and https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.html .

Please upload an updated archive to continue the submission process.

regards,

Registration Details

  • Name: Ham Arm Linux
  • System Name:  hal
  • Type: non-GNU software and documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

Ham ARM Linux - Digital operations mainly focused on AX.25 using packet modems. This project is about making the ARM single board computers come to life for Ham Radio in a controlled and structured way, so operators can learn the ins and outs of packet radio.

There will be an image for each supported board, and a set of shell scripts to help the user to configure their system simply and properly. HAL hopes to cut out the days of circular searching on the internet for how to get a simple packet system running!

Initial offering will result in a fully functional one or two radio AX.25 packet system, and optionally a Net/ROM port, Uronode, AxMailFax, and the venerable FBB BBS system, all supported by the Direwolf sound modem software.

Later APRS support and application choices will also be added.

Other Software Required:

Uronode, Gnu GPL v2, http://uronode.sf.net
AxMailFax, Gnu GPL v2, http://axmail.sf.net
Direwolf, Gnu GPL v2, https://home.comcast.net/~wb2osz/site/
LinFBB, Gnu GPL v3, http://linfbb.sf.net

Other Comments:

Other GNU GPL software and configurators to be added over time.  No changes to the delivered software are done, other than normalizing the Makefiles for my desired image.
