I've found two issues:

* links to artifacts were processed in "named" links
  like [http://gna.org bug #1], this resulted in nested
  links like <a href="url0"><a href="url1'>bug #1</a></a>,
  which tends to confuse browsers;
* "named" links to artifacts weren't supported.

I think I've fixed both.

So sorry, the link to comment one is https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?13283#comment1

It seems that either I mistyped it, or I just came accross another bug. I thought that I had typed it as [https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?13283#comment1 comment#1], and something happened that reverted it to [https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?13281#comment1 comment#1], ie comment one of this task, and not of the dummy task.

The sequel is to test whether I mistyped it:

  • with markup: comment#1
  • without markup: [https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?13283#comment1 comment#1]

Ok, as required by Karl I made up a minimal example --- I created a dummy task (namely task#13283) for that in order to avoid too much ado on this thread:

lack of previewer: agreed. should probably submit that as a separate report.

"[file #NNN" being visible sometimes: clearly something is going on differently in your comment #2 vs. comment #3 in https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?42897 but it is not clear to me what you typed.  Maybe you could make an attachment to this bug with the plain text input.  Doing it in the UI is a lost cause, as you have noted.

thanks,
k

To be more accurate, it is displayed as: `[[https://savannah.gnu.org/support/download.php?file_id=31824 file #31824] temp1.texi]' --- same comment, no previewer means bad markup usage!

Well, it is displayed as: `[[https://savannah.gnu.org/support/download.php?file_id=31824 file #31824 temp1.texi]]', sorry without previewer it is quite difficult to use this markup!

`[file#31824 temp1.texi]' is displayed as `[[file #31824] temp1.texi] rather than as temp1.texi.
