Hello.

Please excuse the delay.

towerdefence.pro, towerdefence.pro.user and towerdefence.ui still lack
the licensing information.  Could you please add it either inside or
in the README?.

I have approved this project.  You will receive an auto-generated
email containing detailed information about the approval.

Regards and welcome onboard.

I had already uploaded an updated archive and thought you would receive an email notice. Now it's gone, most likely due to the database recovery. I attached a recent version.

Hi and thanks for your confidence in GNU Savannah.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in GNU Savannah.
You can reach the rest Savannah hackers (Staff) in this list:
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers-public.

I noticed some issues with the tarball you submited:

As some files cannot carry license and copyright notices (e.g. image
files and maybe building scripts), then you can add a README file in
the same directory containing the copyright and license notices.
Check
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for
further information.  A proper example of README file can be found in
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs.git/plain/etc/images/README
(This one is from a old version of GNU Emacs, you can tune it or make
another one from scratch).

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn
why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code,
for example, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

Please fix these issues and provide a updated tarball.  You can ethier
attach it to the tracker or use an external hosting and provide a
direct download URL.  I then will approve this project if everything
is ok

Note: I'ts customary to put the all files inside a top directory
before tar-ing'em.  This is not a requirement at all but is adviced to
avoid the users the need to create a new directory before unpack the
tarball.

Regards

Registration Details

  • Name: Fat Defence
  • System Name:  fatdefence
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

Fat Defence (provisional name) will be a tower defence game written in C++ using >=Qt-4.6.

The provisional scenario is a fast food restaurant whose employees are defending against hordes of overweight people, thus the name of the project.

The purpose is to provide the GNU/Linux platform with a more modern game type beside the various clones of games from the 80s while learning more about C++ and Qt. Having used GNU/Linux for more than 8 years I want to give something back to the community and chose this project. Also I simply enjoy playing these kind of games.

After I told other people about it some of them want to participate so I need a public version control system to join forces.

I checked several and decided to apply for your platform because I sympathize with the FSF and share the belief that software should be free and not bound by software patents. Also I trust you the most because I have the feeling that you are the most honest and altruistic provider of such a hosting platform.

Other Software Required:

Only Qt which is GPL to my knowledge. As the whole project is to be released under >=GPLv2 it will be required that artist that participate license their work appropriately.
