Hi Karl,

I was confused by some text on the approval page. Thanks for the clarification! Changed now.

Fred, let me know if everything is OK so I can close this task.

I agree about the autogenerated file, although it would still be ideal to at least have a statement in a README that the file is in the public domain.

But as far as being "official GNU software goes", not only can it be changed, it must be changed :).  The project should be approved as "non-GNU" software.

Being "official GNU software" means a different evaluation process has to happen first (http://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html), and a dubbing message sent by rms or me.

Best,
Karl

I have approved your submission, you should get an email confirmation soon. There is another small issue before I close this task: you list it as official GNU software. Is this the case, or would you like it to be in the future? Otherwise it can be changed.

Thanks, and good luck!

Fred replied to the Savannah list:

I'd like to ask for a pass on requiring this file to have a license since it is generated via a gui program, glade. Each time that glade is run, the comment will be deleted and with it the license.

I can make another file specifying that the zman.glade is 100% gpl. The file itself is really a very tiny description of a generic gui. I don't feel that there's anything worth patenting nor copyrighting since there's literally 5 minutes of clicking to get to this file.

Thus, I didn't see the extra time to continuously add a license to this file.

If you need me to, I'll manually add one. I guess I can make a Makefile to add the license each time....

Let me know.

Not trying to be a bother here.

I am approving the submission since the concern seems quite reasonable and it's an auto generated file. Thanks, and good luck with your project.

Hi Fred,

I have not received an answer yet. Are you still willing to host the project on Savannah? Please let us know if this is not the case, we won't bite and it will make us save time.

Hi Fred,

I am reviewing your submission; I am not yet a full-grown administrator, so please excuse any mistakes I may make in the process.

I have noticed a small issue in the project: zman.glade does not have a license header such as the one in zman.py; it is required as it is a file longer than 10 characters (maybe in the form of an XML comment).

Could you upload a corrected version so we can proceed? Thanks!
