Sat 02 Jan 2010 11:06:02 PM UTC, comment #1: Note: If you're a GRUB developer or plan to develop code for GRUB, be careful when reading Linux source code. The license of Linux (GPLv2-only) is incompatible with that of GNU GRUB. So if you read GPLv2-only parts of code that implement similar things to the ones in GRUB, you will be unable to contribute code for similar areas in GRUB. You have been warned :-) |

It'd be nice if the kernel Linux was made Multiboot-compliant, or at least if a patch that works with modern versions was available, so that end users and/or Linux-based distributions could use it.

I've been pointed out about an utility that converts a Linux image into a Multiboot-compliant ELF:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/wraplinux/
Someone could verify that the result is usable by GRUB?
