This was likely a simple case of spurious output triggering a diff in the autotest expected results.

Postponing for now, will change to Done soon, unless you are still finding this to be a problem Benjamin.

Oh, and Benjamin. We'll have GNU Cobol in all the right places soon. Taking a while to get the files prepped and in place, but it's getting there.

Officially, OpenCOBOL is now GNU Cobol.

Could I get you to attach tests/run.log as well Benjamin?

Hi, everyone. I'm experiencing a significant number of failures from ./tests/run on a new installation; only 11 tests succeed. The full output it attached.

What makes it confusing to me is that some of the very basic tests seem to pass while others fail. I didn't do anything particularly interesting with my installation, only overriding "ar -rv" to "ar" (ar version with GMP version 5.1.3. Here are some other potentially useful version data:

$ uname -a
Linux XXXX #1 SMP Fri Sep 17 17:07:54 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ ldd --version
ldd (GNU libc) 2.4

$ ldd open-cobol-1.1/bin/cobc => (0x00007fff183ff000) => /lib64/ (0x00002ab0b2537000)
/lib64/ (0x00002ab0b241b000)

$ gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)

$ ld --version
GNU ld version 20051219 (SUSE Linux)

Thank you very much for your help.

Benjamin A. Small.
