You are right. Adding flex as a build input fixes the test suite failure. Thank you very much for the information!

Hi Peter!

I guess something went wrong with the definition of LEX. Bison requires Flex to be checked (precisely to compile examples/calc++/calc++-scanner.ll).

I see that the configure step reports:

checking for flex... no
checking for lex... no

It should definitely either skip this test (examples/calc++), or fail at that point. But in your case, I would suggest adding flex as a dependency.
