Fri 08 Feb 2002 05:05:44 PM UTC, original submission:

This is a standalone use of libtool 1.4.2.

$ libtool --mode=clean rm main
rm main _libs/main _libs/mainS.o _libs/lt-main
rm: cannot remove `_libs/mainS.o': No such file or
rm: cannot remove `_libs/lt-main': No such file or
rmdir _libs

$ echo $?

"main" was built using:

main: main.o
libtool gcc $^ -o $@

This occurs both on Linux (Debian 2.2 / i386), and
cygwin 1.3.x
