I don't really see ever implementing this.

The severity of this should be 1 - Wish.

Dear Sir or Ma'am,

I have been user a of BASH for many years and find it to be a rather powerful and extremely useful tool in my system administrative work. However, there within lies one feature that would be most utilitarian should someone feel impelled to add it: multi-dimensional arrays!

There are so many times that I have to write all this fancy code to fake it, boy would it be nice to have the real thing.

Very Respectfully,

Stuart B. Tener, N3GWG, IT1 (USNR)
