Can we help with anything else here?  If not, I will close this on Wednesday.

Thanks for the followup.  I have changed the project's description from UNNAMED PROJECT to ELPA.  For the other changes, perhaps the best way to take care of this is for you to suggest exactly the format that you would like.  Here is the reference.

http://git-scm.com/docs/git-log

Some of the nitpicks that you suggested are possible, some are not.

Thanks

I have added the following configurations to your repo:

showrev = "git show -C %s; echo"
emailprefix = [ELPA-diffs]

These should make the email display as you like.  This change applies to the entire elpa.git repo.  Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
John Schmidt

Sorry for the previous unfinished comment (my browser misinterpreted a "newline" for "send").

So the second problem (less severe) is the title of those emails, which looks like

"[SCM] UNNAMED PROJECT branch, master,  updated. 232a509cd50fdcdc"

compared to what we had with Bzr which looked like

"[ELPA-diffs] trunk r113752: lisp/frameset.el (frameset-p, frameset-prop): Doc fixes."

Also, does this change only apply to the `master' branch of the elpa repository, or does it apply to all branches?  [ I asked to activate this for the master branch, but it would be even better if it were activated repository-wide. ]

Thank you for your help.  It seems to work to some extent, but I see two problems:

1- this sends a summary of the change (log + diffstat), whereas we need actual patches.

This has been completed for you.  Please let me know if you need any additional help.

Thanks,
John Schmidt

Could someone tell me how to make it so that any commit to the master branch of the emacs/elpa.git repository has a corresponding email sent to emacs-elpa-diffs@gnu.org?

If, similarly to Bazaar, I can't do it myself, then, please do it for me, obviously ;-)
