Thanks for your report!  xgcl is fully built in by default as of the last few releases, inclusing the latest, 2.6.10

An INTERMEDIATE target is needed in the unixport/makefile in order to correctly compile Xgcl (based on my communcation with Camm).

Also, in the compilation of Xgcl, a symbolic link unixport/init_xgcl.lsp.tmp to a nonexisting file init_gcl.lsp.tmp is created.
