Thanks for your report!  Fedora is fully supported in the latest release, 2.6.10.

Hi there.

Thanks for your interest in GNU Common Lisp.

GCL 2.5.3 is out of date so you should get the latest stable source which firstly, should build cleanly and secondly, contains bug fixes without which GCL will not work on Fedora Core 1.

The place to look for a new source package is on our temporary download site at:

   http://people.debian.org/~camm/gcl/stable-binary/

Let us know how you go on the GCL developers mailing list:

   http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gcl-devel

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you well in your endeavours.

Cheers

Mike Thomas.

Hi,
Tried to make gcl 2.5.3 on Fedora Core1 and on another syste based on it but both failed. I am using gcc 3.3.2

The compilation was not smooth.Got a lot of warnings saying

"de-refrencing type-punned pointer will break strict aliasing rules"
