Hi!

This support tracker is dedicated to problems with Savannah (a free software hosting service), so I don't think it's a right place to ask about gcc.

Here you can find overview of gcc mailing lists: http://gcc.gnu.org/lists.html

You should choose right one and ask you question there. I think that gcc-help would be your best bet.

I'm closing this item.

Is there a GCC MAP file analyzer tool? Similar to Visual Studio Map file analyzer.( http://www.sikorskiy.net/prj/amap/index.html)

My requirement is to find the sizes of each section of lib & obj files in a executable. It is possible to trace this information from the MAP file but it requires more effort for each iteration.

GNU bin utils will support to read the size of sections of exe, but not finding way on how .text section grows. And which lib or obj shoot-up the mem size?

Visual Studio AMAP tool summarizes the size of modules & also the obj file. Looking for similar solution in GCC.
