OK, I'll do, as soon as I'm back from holidays. Currently I'm behind the
worst internet connection I've ever experienced in my whole life, and it
would probably take hours to do a bzr checkout here :-)

I'll test on 8 or 9 August.

It's a bot which posts commit messages on an IRC channel.

Thanks,
Reinhard

Hi Reinhard -- yes, agreed on all counts.

Unfortunately it's not currently possible for maintainers to manage their own commit email.  You didn't miss anything.

I attempted to set it up for gnue, going to commit-gnue@gnu.org, including diffs.  However, I have no real idea if our web admin interface for CVS commit mail will just work for bzr.  I guess we'll find out the next time you make a commit.  please do a test, ok?

As for CIA, I'm afraid I don't even know what it is.  Michael, help?

well, need is not the right word - it would be nice to have. We had
them with CVS, we had them with SVN, so people see this as a feature
loss if we don't have them with BZR. Also, I think it would be worth
looking into this generally - AFAIU, bzr is a GNU project itself and
should be the preferred distributed version control system for GNU
projects, right?

Thanks,
Reinhard

Reinhard, do you still need bzr commit email for gnue?
(Per this request from April 2010 ... sorry.)

We have now switched to Bazaar for the GNU Enterprise project (group=gnue). Can you please activate commit notification for that repository via email (commit-gnue@gnu.org) and CIA? I'm sorry I didn't find any pointers about how to activate this myself.

Thanks,
Reinhard
