Thanks for setting up the GIT commit notifications, they are working well.

That would be great, you can send commit notifications to the existing list gsl-cvs@gnu.org. Thank you.

Hi Brian,

I'm setting up commit notifications for DejaGNU, replicating what Jim did for his coreutils repository. Do you want me to set it up for GSL?
(for reference we'll use the commit hook from git's contrib/).
This is in "beta" phase - that is, I haven't tested it yet anywhere else except for a test project :)

If yes, I'd need to know where to send mail notifications.

Cheers.

Hi Brian,

I've change the description field so now you will read:

    description GNU Scientific Library

I hope that all your problems are fixed so I'll close this thread,

Thanks GITCVS appears to be working fine.

Re gitweb,  could you change the part which says

"description Unnamed repository; edit this file to name it for gitweb."

to be

   "description GNU Scientific Library"

Thank you.

Hi Brian,

I enable the gitcvs feature for the GSL project

Related to git commit to emails that isn't possible yet in Savannah.

You already have a nice web interface at http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gsl.git

Please test your gitcvs and tell us if works fine for you so I can close this task.

Regards,

I've successfully imported our repository now (git://git.sv.gnu.org/gsl.git)

Please could gitcvs be enabled for it.

A couple of other things we need to complete our migration to savannah:

- git commit emails if possible
- a gitweb repository description

Thank you.
