An edited version has gone into SVN, r4901.  I've changed some colours to be legible both on light and dark backgrounds, improved the recognition of numbers, added some regexes for escapes, and reordered things so that numbers within strings will not get coloured as numbers, and special words within names not as special words.

Thanks!  Any corrections or improvements are welcome.
