I am afraid that this kind of very fine grained features are confusing for basic users, especially now that we have done a lot of work on simplifying the interface as much as possible.
On the other hand, I think that it might be useful to add a menu item somewhere for saving and restoring user preferences. I will keep thinking about an appropriate way to do that.
