I think most of the changes has been merged by PrasannaKumar. Since we weren't able to pull it from tufei (see comment #1) due to missing cset comments I'm closing this as "Wont Do"

Why did you fold all the changes you had on github into a single commit with no info on the changes? I'll merge this if there's commit messages.

And if you could follow Octave commit message guidelines even better

Basically, one short sentence about the purpose of the changes, and then a list of all modified files with details on them (see examples on the bottom of the link above).
