The patch is against git 79d9801 2009-12-25

Libtool seems to output text in US-convention:

...
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in `.'.
libtoolize: copying file `./ltmain.sh'
libtoolize: Consider adding `AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([m4])' to configure.in and
...

SUGGESTION

For output display ofr international context the double quotes would work better (backquotes are not used in Asia, Europe). The double quotes would also be shell friendly in a way that the text is cut-n-paste ready, whereas backquotes are a little problematic (a shell metacharacter).

The following patch would be start to change the output would change to:

...
libtoolize: putting auxiliary files in ".".
libtoolize: copying file "./ltmain.sh"
libtoolize: Consider adding "AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([m4])" to configure.in and
...

Please consider including it.
