Savannah upgrade

Item posted by Sylvain Beucler <Beuc> on Tue Aug 9 00:01:09 2005.

We upgraded some parts of the Savannah system.

Currently we have a few issues with the file uploading system and ViewCVS. We'll make sure to fix those asap. Check this news item's comments for updates :)

Proprietary versions of SSH (posted by Sylvain Beucler, Thu Aug 18 17:44:59 2005)

We upgraded our SSH server and it caused issues in various clients. We tried to make it as compatible as we could but we can't do better AFAICS.

Note that the OpenSSH free software client works and is freely
available, so I don't see any reason not to switch to it :)

Also, some user reported that a proprietary version didn't have password authentication enabled. You might want to enable that.

Hopefully we'll restablish pserver in the future; we're trying to improve our security model to gain more flexibility.

viewcvs (posted by Michael J. Flickinger, Tue Aug 9 01:53:50 2005)

viewcvs is fixed.
