Ubuntu-specific patch. Not handled here.

Setting

GRUB_TIMEOUT=0

and doing (on Ubuntu):

sudo update-grub

will have no effect, because of the lines

if [ "${timeout}" = 0 ]; then
set timeout=10
fi

in grub.cfg
