Snake And Ladder game used ActionScript 3, which Gnash cannot execute.

Gnash could run only ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 1 code
but not ActionScript 3 code. As far as I know, it's due to
radical difference in interpreter and library design.
So developers couldn't get it working without a major rewrite.

You could check this youself by right-clicking on the flash area
then File > Properties and expand the 'Stage Properties' row.
Look for the row labeled 'Root VM version', if you found "AVM2 (Unsupported)",
then Gnash is not supposed to run it.

Note: AVM1 is an interpreter for ActionScript 1 and 2.
AVM2 is an interpreter for ActionScript 3.
Gnash only implements AVM1.

I'm not sure if Lightspark (http://lightspark.github.io/) is able to play it, however, they supported ActionScript 3.
It might worth a try.

Gnash: gnash_0.8.10-1~lenny from getgnash.org repository
System: Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 "Lenny" i386

I have built the gnash from the git repository.
It runs youtube without problems.
However, when I run this application
http://sourceforge.net/projects/snakesandladder/?source=directory
an endlesss loop occurs on the title screen, whether it is run
from the command line or from firefox.
When the proprietary player is used instead, the game runs without this issue. Clearly I would prefer for Gnash player to work, or not to use that swf app.

I am running Intel Core i7-3517U CPU @ 1.90GHz × 4
and Ubuntu 13.04

By the way, I installed jemalloc and linked without issues.
Also there were no problems this build with npapi.
I am not sure if you want to hear about that, which affected gnash 2.9 on this ubuntu but did not seem to affect a fedora 19.
