No, this is an error, as jemalloc does improve the runtime performance of Gnash. I guess I can see some sense the making it recommended, but don't really consider it a bug.

I was wrong, ./configure does tell you about --disable-jemalloc, but is still weird to read ERROR instead of RECOMMENDED, isn't it ?

I build with --disable-jemalloc just fine, but if I don't pass that option, ./configure prints an ERROR and tells me to install it. Shoudln't it RECOMMEND instead, and suggest --disable-jemalloc as an alternative ?
